Planning

Simply put, almost anywhere in the world.

Sail to exciting ports in Alaska, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada/New England, the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, the Pacific Northwest, Panama Canal, South America, and Transatlantic.

Check our cruise calendar for more information on the destinations.
In today’s day and age, all cruise liners are fitted with modern stabilizing systems that correct roll, pitch, and yaw, so it is highly unlikely that you will experience motion sickness.

In any event, weather predictions are taken into account, and the ship will not sail into bad weather knowingly.
Yes. A cruise vacation is highly affordable!

There are cruise vacations to suit every budget. Where else will you get cruise transportation, accommodation, most meals, activities, and entertainment included in the price you pay.

The extra you spend may be on alcoholic beverages and shore excursions.
No way! Your cruise ship is a floating resort with so many things to do and explore that it’ll take you a couple of days just to get familiar with your surroundings.

There’s plenty of space and activities for every mood:
  • Jogging, gymming, swimming, mini-golf
  • Spa treatments, poolside relaxation, or sauna
  • Reading, shows, and games
So much to do and so little time!
Anyone who is fit and free from communicable diseases can cruise. However, there are certain exceptions:

  • Pregnant women who have entered or will enter the 24th week of pregnancy during the cruise are considered high risk and not permitted.
  • Guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older (exceptions apply if parents occupy adjacent cabins).
  • Unaccompanied minors must present a notarized consent letter from a parent or guardian.
  • Infants must be at least 6 months old (12 months for Transatlantic, South America, or Hawaii cruises).
Non-compliance may result in denied boarding.
It is the guest’s sole responsibility to ensure all travel documentation is in order prior to boarding.

You will need:
  • A valid passport
  • All appropriate visas
  • Inoculation documents if required
Always check visa requirements with the respective embassy or consulate.

Note: Improper documentation will result in denied boarding, and no refunds will be issued.

Passports are usually held by the ship’s Purser’s Office for immigration purposes and returned at the end of the cruise.
Ships generally have four types of cabins:

  • Interior cabins: Comfortable but without windows.
  • Ocean View cabins: Have large fixed windows offering sea views.
  • Balcony cabins: Include a private verandah.
  • Suites: Larger with separate sitting area and balcony.
All cabins feature TV, private bath, shower, and hair dryer. Some include bathrobes, minibars, and safes.
All cruise rates are based on double occupancy.

Solo travelers who wish to have a cabin to themselves will typically pay 200% of the category rate.
Most ships operate on a cashless system.

Upon boarding, you’ll receive a Sea Pass that acts as:
  • Your cabin key
  • Your ID onboard
  • Your payment card for purchases
Bills are settled on the final day via credit/debit card, cash, or traveler’s checks in USD.
Shore excursions are guided tours organized by the cruise company at various ports.

You can:
  • Book them online via the cruise line’s website using your reservation number
  • Or, book onboard at the Shore Excursion Desk
Most ships provide accessible cabins for guests with physical disabilities.

  • These are marked on deck plans as “Accessible Cabins”.
  • Guests using wheelchairs should bring their own for convenience.
  • Some areas of the ship may have limited accessibility.

Yes, partial cruises (boarding later or leaving early) may be allowed in certain regions where permitted by law.

Note: Written permission must be applied for at least 1 week in advance.
You must carry a notarized letter of consent from at least one parent/legal guardian authorizing you to travel with the child and make decisions in case of emergencies.

Preparing for the Cruise

It is advisable to arrive at the pier at least two to three hours before the scheduled departure time, as cruise check-in closes, in most cases, 90 minutes prior to departure.

Guests arriving after this will not be permitted to board.
Passengers arriving at the airport can usually get a taxi from the airport to the pier.

Most cruise companies can also arrange an airport-to-pier transfer for a fee. This must be pre-booked with your travel agent or TIRUN, the local representative of your cruise company.

If you buy a transfer, a representative of the cruise line will meet you at the airport and provide transportation between the airport and the pier.
Be sure to pack your camera, suntan lotion, and swimsuit. Besides these, normally three types of clothing are required:

Casual attire: shorts, t-shirts, slacks, jeans, skirts, and sundresses.
Smart casuals: dresses and skirts for women; trousers and jackets for men.
Formal: cocktail dresses for women and suits, jackets, or tuxedos for men. You can rent tuxedos on most ships.

Alternately, traditional national dress is also acceptable — Indian women may wear saris and men a sherwani.

Pack a windcheater and sweater for cooler days, walking shoes for sightseeing, and possibly a raincoat or umbrella.
Onboard voltage is usually 110/220 volts, so carry an adapter if needed. Hair dryers are provided in all cabins.
You cannot bring any dangerous or illegal items onboard.

This includes drugs, arms, guns, explosives, animals, and flammable materials. Ensure you do not carry any such items.
Using online check-in saves time at the pier as you won’t need to fill out lengthy forms.

Royal Caribbean: After successful check-in, you’ll receive a Set Sail Pass that speeds up pier check-in. Ensure online check-in is completed at least 3 days before sailing.

You’ll need to present:
  • Set Sail Pass
  • Passport or identification document
  • Credit card for onboard expenses

Celebrity Cruises: Log in to My Celebrity on the official site to complete online check-in. Once done, you’ll receive an Xpress Pass to expedite your pier check-in.
Guests are not allowed to bring liquor onboard for consumption or any other purpose.

Alcohol purchased ashore or onboard will be held by the ship and returned to your cabin on the last day of your sailing.
Due to security reasons, friends and family are not permitted to visit you onboard at any port.
