Accommodation
Celebrity Edge, the first of the Edge-class of ships from Celebrity Cruises, has introduced a new concept called Infinite
Staterooms that take the entire room right to the vast sea’s edge, just at the click of a button. Designed and exhibited in 3D,
the rooms in Celebrity Edge consist of the best Exclusive Cashmere Collection bedding and mattresses handcrafted in Italy.
Waking up in these rooms with the Sun on the horizon and the seawater on the edge, or sleeping with the moon as your
neighbor, is an experience one can have only on Celebrity Edge. There are colossal 1467 staterooms with a double occupancy
capacity of 2918, out of which 918 are Edge Staterooms with Infinite verandas. The ship also houses 176 suites.
Cuisine
Hand-crafted by Cornelius Gallagher, the Michelin-starred chef, food on Celebrity Edge is nothing short of a sensory overload.
A wide variety of cuisines from a range of restaurants such as Luminae, Sushi on Five, Tuscan Grille, Silk Harvest Etc. provide
flavours from the world over, from the Far East to even the desert food of Africa! These restaurants are exquisitely designed
aligning with the theme and the region they are inspired by, and will transport the traveler to a world where the unique
cultures are almost palpable!
Special features
The first ship to be completely designed and revealed in 3-D, Celebrity Edge’s impeccable architectural consistency and
attention to detail was mainly possible due to this revolutionary new design technology. The outdoor design conceptualized
by award-winning designer Tom Wright of WKK, combined with the artistic genius of Kelly Hoppen and Nate Berkus, features
a complete change from the traditional cruise line design into something hitherto unseen. It also features Magic Carpet, the
world’s first cantilevered venue at sea-featuring 13 stories and being of the size of a tennis court.
The Iconic Suites are a great addition to the Celebrity Line of cruise ships. Perched high atop the ship, these suites provide
sweeping, panoramic views of the sea and the land far away to make you feel like the Creator ruminating on its ant farm.
The resort deck is equipped with a jogging track, a Solarium and a Rooftop garden, apart from the vast deck area for that
perfect tan! It represents the ideal spot for someone looking to experience the salty sea breeze or to enjoy a quiet drink under
the shade of the stars at night. The pool has a depth of 75 feet with an ever-changing, abstract art piece designed by Tom
Wright right at the head.
Date of travel
Celebrity Edge, with its two itineraries sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the Eastern and Western Caribbean region will
begin its first sailing in December 2018, while the bookings are currently open. Celebrity Edge is the thirteenth cruise ship of
Celebrity Cruises and will be followed by Celebrity Beyond in spring 2020, followed by a third and fourth Edge-class ship in
fall 2021 and fall 2022 respectively
