Seven days on board the Oasis of the Seas just flew by. We had a total blast – the Caribbean was beautiful with clear blue seas and pink sands, and the ship was just awesome!
Thrills and Spills
The activities on board are simply amazing, and the whole family had a blast. Basketball games, riding the waves on the FlowRider surf simulator and poolside activities for the kids, made sure they had a real blast! Watching my 12 year old son getting his high on the zip-line, was just so thrilling that I threw caution to the wind and tried it too! And there is only one word to describe the adrenaline rush I got. WOW!
Relaxation on board
On sea days, my wife spent her time at the spa, relaxing in the Jacuzzi in the mornings and afternoons we spent at the adults only Solarium pool sipping Bloody Marys’ and generally just chilling out on the cabana sun beds. The kids were so busy that we hardly saw them, and my wife and i got some ‘us’ time together.
Fun Evenings
Evenings on the ship are just one big party, starting with the fantastic Broadway style shows they have including Chicago and Hairspray that is high energy entertainment at its best. By the time Saturday Night Fever came on, everyone had got their dancing shoes on and were swaying to the catchy beat. After a few drinks and a fine meal at the specialty restaurant Chops Grille, we made our way to the Centrum to watch a dazzling aerial acrobatics show. The night was still young, and as were in the mood for dancing went to the Latin-themed Boleros and had the time of our lives as we learned how to salsa. At midnight
we sauntered off to the pool deck where there was a midnight buffet going on and a live band was belting out familiar numbers and the dance floor was packed. It was a great end to a great evening!
I have to say that the Cruise Director on board was just fantastic and knew how to get the crowds going. Royal Caribbean does a great job of making sure that every evening on board is a party to remember.
Fantastic vacation
It was a fantastic vacation, everyone in the family was happy, and we all came back agreeing that cruise vacations are the best kind of holidays ever, and we have already started planning our next Royal Caribbean cruise.
