Royal Caribbean International scores another first with Allure of the Seas becoming the world’s first ship to feature on Google Business Maps using Google Street View technology.
If you want to have a virtual view of Royal Caribbean’s flagship Google Business Maps has made sure you can do so now on your web browser, through Google Street Views. Royal Caribbean International is a cruise line that believes innovation and providing the best possible experience for their guests, and have gone the extra mile by using Google Maps Business View’s technology to be the first cruise line to offer a virtual tour of their ship in conjunction with Google Street Views.
If you are booked for a cruise vacation or wanting to plan one, this is the ideal precursor to it. Visit the site and take a tour around the ship and get a peek into some of the spots and amenities on board. Though the whole ship is not covered in the ‘tour’, it offers a chance for prospective guests to preview the accommodation options, see the ships restaurants as well as the innovative activities on board like the FlowRider, zip line and the rock-climbing wall.
It was a mammoth project and involved taking 20,000 photos with a basic DSLR camera and a fisheye lens and took eight days to complete.
