Royal Caribbean does it again! Harmony of the Seas, the third of the Oasis class of ships from the Royal Caribbean fleet, will make its debut in April 2016. When she is launched, she will be the largest ship in the world at 227,000 tons, beating her sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the seas by a little more than 1700 tons.
Harmony of the Seas will be 16 decks high and will have 2474 staterooms with a guest capacity of 5479 passengers. The ‘neighborhood’ concept introduced on her sibling Oasis class ships, will continue with activity zones: Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place, and the Youth Zone.
Activities
A unique feature of the ship will be the three waterslides she will have. Hitherto, waterslides have never featured on Royal Caribbean ships, so this is a first. These waterslides will be in the forward part of the ship overlooking the Central Park Atrium and are bound to be a thrilling experience for all guests.
Technology
The Bionic Bar with robots arms pouring out your cocktails was first introduced on Quantum of the Seas and it is being replicated on Harmony of the Seas, and so are the FRID wow bands and the virtual balcony staterooms. Internet promise to be at lightning speed and will provide speedy access to the user.
Dining
Dynamic Dining that was introduced on Quantum of the Seas will also be available on Harmony of the Seas along with Dynamic Dining Classic and guests can alternate and choose between the two choices. The classic option under Dynamic Dining allows guests to sample each of the main complimentary restaurants at an early- or a late-seating time throughout their cruise with their dining group with the same waiter each evening, while the standard Dynamic Dining allows more freedom and the guest can make reservations in any restaurant, at any time on any given day. There are additions in the restaurants on board too and they include: Izumi Sushi Bar, Wonderland and Sabor Modern Mexican.
All this and more awaits you on Harmony of the Seas!
